Location & Facilities

Location

Canberra's Lake Burley Griffin

CAMBIA is located in a self-contained building with fully equipped lab, on the Black Mountain research campus of the CSIRO and across the street from the campus of the Australian National University.  CAMBIA has many interactions with ANU faculty in the Research School of Biological Sciences, Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies, Research School of Social Sciences, and the John Curtin School of Medical Research. CAMBIA's glasshouse facilities are also located on the ANU campus.

CAMBIA is only a short walk from Lake Burley Griffin and directly adjacent to the Australian National Botanical Gardens and the Black Mountain Nature Preserve, with walking and running trails and bicycle paths. King parrots, rosellas, cockatoos and other beautiful birds are routinely found around the building, and other wildlife, including kangaroos, wombats and echidnas, can be seen from the lab and offices.
